Air-fried chicken drumsticks and thighs complemented by a tangy Alabama white BBQ sauce offer a crispy and flavorful twist on a classic dish.


Ingredients

🍗 4 chicken drumsticks

🍗 4 chicken thighs

🫒 2 tablespoons olive oil

🧄 1 tablespoon roasted garlic and herbs seasoning

🧈 1 tablespoon buttery steakhouse seasoning

🌶️ 1 tablespoon of your favorite dry rub seasoning

🧂 1 teaspoon salt

⚫ 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

🥄 1 cup mayonnaise

🍏 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

🍋 1 tablespoon lemon juice

🌶️ 1 tablespoon prepared horseradish

🍯 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

🥫 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

🍬 1 teaspoon sugar

🧂 1/2 teaspoon salt

⚫ 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

🌶️ 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for added spice)


Instructions

1- Preheat the Air Fryer:

  • Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C).

2- Prepare the Chicken:

  • Pat the chicken drumsticks and thighs dry with paper towels.

3- Season the Chicken:

  • In a large bowl, combine olive oil, roasted garlic and herbs seasoning, buttery steakhouse seasoning, dry rub seasoning, salt, and black pepper.

  • Add the chicken pieces and toss them until they are evenly coated with the seasoning mix.

4- Arrange in Air Fryer:

  • Place the chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket.

  • Ensure they aren't too crowded to allow even cooking.

  • You may need to cook in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.

5- Cook the Chicken:

  • Air fry the chicken for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through.

  • Ensure the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and is crispy and golden brown.

6- Mix the Alabama White BBQ Sauce:

  • In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, horseradish, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, sugar, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper until smooth and well combined.

7- Chill the Sauce:

  • Refrigerate the sauce for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
