Bring the flavors of beloved seafood boil sauces to your table with this quick and easy version of the smackalicious sauce. Ideal for shrimp, potatoes, and boiled eggs, this sauce packs a punch with a blend of rich spices and aromatics that create a delightful, spicy kick.
Ingredients
🥄 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
🧂 Less than 1 teaspoon seasoning salt
🍋 1 teaspoon lemon pepper
🌶️ 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
🌶️ 1 teaspoon chili powder
🧄 2 teaspoons minced garlic
📦 1 teaspoon paprika
🌰 1 teaspoon ground onion
🌿 A sprinkle of ginger powder
🌿 A sprinkle of parsley
🧈 1 stick of butter
🍬 1 teaspoon brown sugar
🍤 Shrimp (as desired)
🥔 Red or white potatoes (as desired)
🥚 Boiled eggs (as desired)
🧅 Less than a quarter of a yellow onion, chopped (optional)
🌶️ Additional spicy seasoning as desired
Instructions
1- Prep the Ingredients:
- Boil the potatoes and eggs separately until fully cooked. Peel the eggs.
- If using, chop less than a quarter of a yellow onion.
2- Prepare the Sauce:
- Melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium heat.
- Add the brown sugar and stir until completely dissolved.
- Gradually add the cayenne pepper, seasoning salt, lemon pepper, crushed red pepper flakes, chili powder, and paprika, stirring continuously.
- Add the minced garlic, ground onion, ginger powder, and parsley. Mix well.
- Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning if desired by adding more spicy seasoning.
3- Combine with Seafood and Vegetables:
- Add the cooked shrimp, boiled potatoes, and boiled eggs to the sauce.
- Stir gently to ensure everything is well coated with the sauce.
4- Final Touches:
- Allow the sauce and ingredients to simmer together for a few minutes to ensure flavors meld.
- Serve hot, garnished with additional parsley if desired.
