This cheesy lasagna is packed with layers of rich meat sauce, creamy cheese filling, and perfectly cooked pasta. A comforting classic that’s guaranteed to impress!
Ingredients
🍝 12 lasagna noodles, cooked
🥩 1 lb ground beef
🧄 1 tbsp chopped garlic
🧂 1 tsp Adobo seasoning (to taste)
🧂 1 tsp garlic powder (to taste)
🧂 1 tsp onion powder (to taste)
🌿 1 tsp Italian seasoning (to taste)
🌶️ 1/2 tsp black pepper (to taste)
🧡 1 packet Sazón with cilantro and achiote
🍅 1 jar (24 oz) Ragu chunky onion & garlic sauce
🧀 1 cup ricotta cheese
🥚 1 egg, beaten
🧀 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
🧀 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
🧀 1 cup shredded Colby Jack cheese
🌱 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
Instructions
1) Prepare the Meat Sauce:
- Heat a pan over medium heat and add ground beef.
- Break it apart while cooking until browned.
- Stir in chopped garlic and sauté until fragrant.
2) Season the Meat:
- Add Adobo seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, black pepper, and Sazón.
- Sprinkle in cumin seeds for extra depth of flavor.
- Stir everything together and cook for another 2 minutes.
3) Add the Sauce:
- Pour in the Ragu chunky onion & garlic sauce.
- Mix well and let it simmer on low heat for 10 minutes.
4) Prepare the Ricotta Mixture:
- In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, beaten egg, and grated parmesan cheese.
- Mix until smooth and set aside.
5) Assemble the Lasagna:
- In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of meat sauce.
- Add a layer of cooked lasagna noodles.
- Spread a portion of the ricotta mixture over the noodles.
- Sprinkle mozzarella and Colby Jack cheese.
- Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a generous amount of cheese on top.
6) Bake:
- Cover with foil and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 30 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes until cheese is golden and bubbly.
7) Serve:
- Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- Enjoy with garlic bread and a fresh salad!
