๐ฅ 1 cup Greek yogurt
๐ซ 1 tablespoon olive oil
๐ฟ 1 tablespoon dill
๐ 1 tablespoon lemon juice
๐ง 1 clove garlic, minced
๐ง Sea salt to taste
Instructions
1- Marinate the Chicken:
- In a large bowl, mix the Greek yogurt, garlic paste, oregano, paprika, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, seasoning salt, Sazon, chopped parsley, and lemon juice.
- Add the chicken breasts to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours, allowing the yogurt to tenderize the chicken and the flavors to meld. If pressed for time, you can cook immediately.
2- Prepare the Salad:
- Chop the cucumber, tomatoes, and red onion into bite-sized pieces.
- Combine them in a bowl with parsley, lemon juice, and season with sea salt and black pepper to taste. Mix well and set aside.
3- Make the Tzatziki Sauce:
- Grate the cucumber and place it in a bowl. Add the Greek yogurt, olive oil, dill, lemon juice, minced garlic, and sea salt. Stir until all ingredients are combined.
4- Cook the Chicken:
- Preheat a grill or pan to medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing excess to drip off.
- Cook the chicken for 6-8 minutes on each side or until cooked through and golden brown. Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing into strips.
5- Assemble the Gyros:
- Warm pita bread in a dry pan or oven. Fill each pita with slices of chicken, and top with salad and tzatziki sauce.
