Start your day with this savory and sweet breakfast delight! Inspired by the popular fast-food McGriddle, this homemade Sausage, Egg & Cheese Pancake Sandwich is a perfect morning treat. It's a delightful combination of fluffy pancakes infused with maple syrup, hearty sausage, deliciously cheesy eggs, and a drizzle of syrup on top.

Ingredients

🥞 Complete pancake mix
🌭 2 Jimmy Dean sausage patties
🥚 2 Eggland's Best eggs
🧈 Butter, for cooking
🍁 1/4 cup maple syrup, plus extra for drizzling
🧀 1/2 cup shredded cheese


Instructions

1- Cook the Sausage Patty:

  • Heat a pan over medium heat.
  • Add the sausage patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until they are browned and cooked through.
  • Remove from the pan and set aside.

2- Make the Pancakes:

  • In the same pan, add a small amount of butter.
  • Pour enough pancake batter to form a medium-sized pancake.
  • Immediately drizzle about 1 tablespoon of maple syrup over the batter.
  • Cook until bubbles form on the surface of the pancake and the edges look set, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
  • Repeat to make a second pancake.

3- Prepare the Scrambled Eggs with Cheese:

  • Add more butter to the pan.
  • Crack the eggs into a bowl, whisk them, and pour them into the hot pan.
  • Stir gently with a spatula, and before the eggs are fully cooked, sprinkle with shredded cheese.
  • Continue to cook until cheese is melted and eggs are fully scrambled.

4- Assemble the Sandwich:

  • Place one pancake on a plate.
  • Layer with one sausage patty.
  • Add scrambled eggs on top of the sausage.
  • Cover with the second pancake.
  • Drizzle more maple syrup over the top to taste.
