🥢 12 egg roll wrappers
🥚 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
1- Prepare the Ingredients:
- Slice the steak into thin strips.
- Chop the yellow onion.
2- Season the Steak:
- In a bowl, season the sliced steak with sea salt, black pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder.
3- Cook the Steak and Onions:
- Heat a tablespoon of cooking oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
- Add the seasoned steak strips to the hot pan and cook until they start to brown.
- Add the chopped onions to the pan and cook until they become translucent and the steak is cooked through.
4- Assemble the Egg Rolls:
- Lay out an egg roll wrapper on a clean, dry surface.
- Brush the edges of the wrapper with the beaten egg wash.
- Place a spoonful of the steak and onion mixture on one side of the wrapper.
- Add a slice of provolone cheese on top of the steak mixture.
- Fold the sides of the wrapper over the filling, then roll tightly, sealing the edge with egg wash. Repeat with remaining wrappers.
5- Fry the Egg Rolls:
- Heat additional cooking oil in a deep pan or skillet to about 350°F (175°C).
- Carefully place the egg rolls in the hot oil, cooking in batches to avoid overcrowding.
