Ingredients
🍝 1 pound of spaghetti
🥩 1 pound of ground beef
🧂 Salt and pepper, to taste
🧄 2 cloves of garlic, minced
🍅 1 jar (24 oz) of spaghetti sauce
🧈 8 tablespoons of unsalted butter, divided
🧀 1 cup of cottage cheese
🧀 1 cup of ricotta cheese
🧀 1 package (8 oz) of cream cheese, softened
🧀 2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese
🧀 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
1- Prepare the Pasta:
- Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2- Cook the Meat Sauce:
In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
Add the ground beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
Stir in the spaghetti sauce and let it simmer on low heat while you prepare the cheese mixture.
3- Make the Cheese Mixture:
- In a mixing bowl, combine cottage cheese, ricotta cheese, cream cheese, and 1 cup of mozzarella cheese. Mix until smooth and well-blended.
4- Assemble the Dish:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Place half of the cooked spaghetti in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Layer the cheese mixture over the spaghetti.
Add the remaining spaghetti on top of the cheese layer. Pour the meat sauce over the top.
Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the meat sauce.
Slice the remaining 6 tablespoons of butter and place evenly on top of the cheese layer.
5- Bake:
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
